We were invited to the Lindsay's 3rd annual Egg Smash tonight - everyone dyes and names 2 eggs, then we set up a bracket and roll the eggs against one another until you get to the final winner. Chad and I decided it would be fun to name our eggs our favorite baby boy names and see whose egg advanced the farthest. So Chad chose Seth and Dimitri and I chose Liam and Solomon. Right away, Solomon lost to Seth in the first round. Liam and Dimitri advanced in their brackets. Then Seth lost to Liam in the following round and Dimitri advanced in his match. Liam and Dimitri advanced the following round and were up against each other in the final 8. Dimitri cracked under the pressure and Liam advanced. Then Liam won again and it was down to the final 2. Liam took first place in the tournament! He not only beat out Chad's eggs, but everyone else's eggs as well. What were the odds? (actually, it was 1 in 50 or something like that) It was a lot of fun. And once word got around why our eggs had the names they did, people began cheering for their favorite name. :) So, what do you think? Are we going to tell our son one day that we chose his name by pitting hard-boiled eggs against one another? "Liam Vidinha Burton" Hmm....

p.s. no other kid will have that story about their name game haha
Love it! I love the name, too.
Haha! That's great. I think that is the fairest way to settle on a name...pure competition!
