We got back fom Chad's board review course in Newark, New Jersey. I had a fine time on my own, while Chad was gone to classes all day - got to read, shop, watch movies, eat out, take naps - others might have been bored, but to me it was very relaxing. Chad's classes were busy, long, and full but really great at the same time. And it was nice to have me there at the end of the day, so he had company other than the 6 girls in his class to hang out with 24/7.
Unfortunately, we did have a couple big problems crop up, all having to do with Utah. First was our cars - we're planning on getting 2 new/old cars when we get to Utah and we saw a deal on the internet and called the dealership in Utah to see if we qualified for it. Long story short, they were trying to scam us and we weren't falling for it, so there was a lot of yelling over the phone and bad feelings all around. We will not be dealing with them further. Second was our house. Jay and Julie moved in over the weekend and discovered that the previous owners left the house in conditions less than acceptable. I don't know what they think we did to them that we deserve to be treated the way they've been treating us, but I hope this will be the end of all that drama as well. But the kids are well, seemed to have a good time while we were gone, and didn't get into too much trouble. I have to figure out how to clean the ink off the computer screen and something in the laundry smells abominably - I figure that's pretty good for leaving the kids for 5 days though. :)
