Even though we aren't beer drinkers, we love Oktoberfest! We eat schnitzel (or whatever), listen to an oompah-pah band, and race wiener dogs. Happy did much better this year. She came in 2nd for her race and only by a second or two - she was way ahead but became confused when she got about 5 inches from the finish line and everyone calling to their dogs confused her and she stopped. By the time she started up again another dog had crossed just ahead of her. Poor Happy. At least she lost this time with dignity. And we were glad to leave. Dachshund people are crazy! ;) We also got a caricature done of Seth - we had one done of Sakura about this time of year at this age at a Renaissance Festival in New Mexico. We have orders from Gabi and Tache to put it on the blog, so here ya go. It's not that great of a scan cuz the drawing is bigger than the scanner, but it'll have to do. Hee hee - such a cutie! I'll post a video of our little chow hound later this weekend. Children call!
