Sakura and I were asleep when Chad left for work this morning, but we soon got up and began our plan - we brought Chad a cake to work and embarrassed him in front of his co-workers, who were more than happy to help us surprise him. :) When Chad got home, we had shrimp and mozzarella sticks, steak, roasted potatoes and asparagus for dinner. We watched "Scrubs" and ate M&Ms ice cream treats and Chad talked to his family on the phone. Chad is feeling a little better about hitting the next milestone - everyone keeps telling him that 30 is the new 20! Still, Chad has accomplished a lot in the last decade - served a mission, got married, graduated from college, lived in a foreign country, had a kid, graduated from med school, finished intern year of residency... and more. So Happy Birthday Chad - we have many more years of adventures to look forward to.
