Today is Seth's birthday, but because of lots of birthdays this weekend, we decided to do our little family party on Sunday for Seth. Poor kid hasn't been himself since we got back from Arizona. He was NOT ready to party after his nap Sunday and just cried and cried for a while. Finally we put on Cars 2 and just let him calm down a bit. After a while he was finally ready to be cheerful again and we reintroduced his presents, and let him eat a cupcake and have come curry for dinner (curry is his favorite!) It's a good thing we didn't have a friend party or it would have been so sad!

Oh yeah, I have to tell you the sad story about his new blanket. I pulled it out and showed it to him and he was SO excited and ran right over to touch it. He realized it was super soft and enthusiastically thrust his face into the blanket. Unfortunately, we were on the tile and he basically got a face plant into a very hard surface. Poor kid! More crying, though perfectly understandable this time. After he calmed down he was a little wary of the blanket, but when he saw Daddy and Sakura laying on it (over the carpet), he became instantly possessive and went back to loving it again.
