Seth's 1st Birthday!

I can't believe it's been a year! How could my baby boy be 1 already? And yet here it is, his first birthday. Crazy. (And he's been crying at us to remind us since 5am, the little stinker.)

Seth is a pretty easy-going little guy. And he is SUCH a BOY!!! He loves cars, music, sword/stick-like objects, and anything his sister doesn't want him to have. He loves to chase and be chased. He loves to be tackled and tickled and hugged. He loves to throw toys, slam the cupboard doors and bang his toys on any surface that will give him a loud noise (especially the tub because it echoes in the bathroom.) He adores his sister and is bent on getting her attention, which mostly involves tormenting her. (yes, it's already started) He likes to take her toys, so she'll chase him. Or pull the connectors for the dvd player while she's watching a movie so she'll drag him away from the tv. Or pull her hair, or smack her, or take her food. Basically anything to elicit a response because it's sure to be a dramatic one. Oh, and he bites! I have the bruises and cuts to show for it, though that's the one thing he seems to leave his sister out of. But he is such a cute little guy, it's hard to fault him. He's quick to smile and charms everyone with those cute dimples of his. He's friendly towards everyone and loves to be included with the big kids. He's started to walk, but only a few steps and still prefers to crawl. He will eat any food his sister eats (unfortunately, she's very picky) and anything you're eating and willing to share with him. He will come and stand next to your chair with his mouth open like a baby bird waiting for a bite to eat. He is fascinated by Happy, who mostly just runs away since she knows what's it's like to be roughed up by a little one. Seth is just overall a cheerful, curious, laid-back, total boy! He is going to be trouble, but not in the obvious way his sister is. His quiet and happy demeanor hides a mischeviousness you wouldn't guess at. I think I'll be doing a lot of shaking my head and smiling with this kid. We are so fortunate to have him in our lives at this time. We love him so much and can't wait to see what he does as time goes on. We love our little boy. Happy Birthday Seth!

Happy Birthday Seth!!!
I hope Seth had a great birthday. We have a little something for him, but since we'll be seeing you in just a few weeks I thought we'd bring it on by and give it to him in person. Can't wait to see you all! Love, Lanae and the boys
