Funny Things

Sakura is a fun kid with a great sense of humor. She isn't afraid of anything either. We went to the County Fair last night and Sakura had a blast! (We forgot the camera though) Her favorite thing was the carousel, but she really liked the ferris wheel too! Nothing we took her on was too fast or too high. She was even bored on some of the more tame kids' rides. A couple of Chad's friends from work were there and they watched Sakura while we went on some big rides. Poor Chad is still nauseous! And after only 2 rides! Guess we'll stick to the kiddie rides in the future. :) Since I didn't get any pics at the fair, here are some other cute ones.

Asleep hanging off the end of the chair. She didn't start that way, but didn't wake up after rolling into that position either!

She loves to play on the porch, opening and closing the screen door. She loves to lock Happy or me outside or inside and then make silly faces with her face smooshed up against the screen. It makes her feel like she's in charge.

I caught Sakura trying to go for a ride on Happy! She just started trying to do that and only thinks of it every once in a while. It is too funny though! Happy just runs away until Sakura finds something else to do with her time.

Sakura loves necklaces - especially these ones that belonged to her great-great-grandma. She goes over to my jewelry chest and yells for mama until I come and get these out for her. Then she parades around the house wearing them for a good while before I take them away because she's trying to shove them between the boards on the porch so she can watch them fall to the ground and say uh-oh.

Here she is sitting on a balloon. She does this anytime she has one in her possession. She is not heavy enough yet to pop one, but she will surely be surprised the day she finally is!
